Now more than ever, humanity is addressing key issues. Climate change, aging, and sustainable development are among the issues fueling the most questions and anxieties. Science seems to be able to provide some of the answers. This has prompted Pierre and Marie Curie University (UPMC), the symbol of French excellence in science and medicine, to present the major scientific challenges and the impacts of its research on society, to the public next September 25 and 26.
More than 500 people are expected during the two-day event that will be featuring four round tables with the best UPMC researchers. This will be an opportunity for them to address the major issues on engineering, energy, the environment, and health. An inaugural round table hosted by UPMC President Jean-Charles Pomerol will feature representatives of the leading French universities and the most renowned research organizations.
