Taking up the general determination of industry operators and the public authorities to promote more environmentally friendly and less energy-burning means of transportation, four ParisTech engineering schools (Arts et Métiers ParisTech, ENSTA ParisTech, Mines ParisTech and Ecole des Ponts ParisTech) have decided to create a Specialized Masters in Electric Vehicle Engineering in partnership with Renault and with support from the EDF Group and auto industry trade groups. This is a first in France.
The Master course proposes the acquisition of broad professional skills and expertise, ranging from the knowledge of the market related to the change toward self-powered vehicle electrification, to the performance of technical tests, including scientific data collection, the selection of the required technical information for defining a new product, the draft of design, production and/or construction studies.
From October to the end of December, a core course will be given in Paris at the four ParisTech schools. From January to March, two minor courses of study will be given on: - Energy control of electric vehicles: from the dealership network to the wheel (course at Arts et Métiers ParisTech, Lille Center) - Electric vehicle architecture and design (course at ENSTA ParisTech)
