On February 11, 2013, for the first time the 3BCar Carnot Institute will be holding its Research-Industry Forum on Bioenergies in Paris. 3BCar is a consortium with 8 partners [1]. The day-long event is for businesses looking for R&D support to develop the use of renewable resources in bioenergies and nano-biotechnologies. The Forum will focus on two central points. It will begin with a presentation of the scientific skills, expertise and advances of the Institute in the different fields of bioenergies (second generation biofuels, microalgae, methanization and gasification). Then participants can preschedule appointments for direct meetings with internationally acclaimed researchers with a view to assessing partnership opportunities.
The attending researchers are involved in large-scale national projects on second generation ethanol (Futurol demonstrator and the Biomass Project for the Future), microalgae (GreenStar Institute for excellence in decarbonized energy), gasification (EquipEx Genepi), white biotechnologies (Toulouse White Biotechnology pre-industrial demonstrator), green biotechnologies (projects on cereals and oil crops) and nano-biotechnologies (Serenade Laboratory of Excellence)
